Metal Eden PC Review: The Hidden Gem of 2025 You Need to Play
Here's the edited version written in the voice of a professional gamer:
I've been putting some serious time into Metal Eden lately, and I can say with confidence it would have secured a spot on my Games of 2025 list — had I not been deep in a playthrough of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at the time. I first came across it through Gmanlives on YouTube, and the pitch immediately caught my attention
I played through the PC version, and I'll be straight with you — there's a learning curve. The parkour mechanics demand precision, and much like Doom, the game punishes you hard for standing still. Aggression and momentum aren't just encouraged, they're required. Once it clicks though, the whole thing opens up beautifully, and the visual presentation is genuinely impressive.
The biggest tell for me? I wanted to jump straight back in the moment the credits rolled. That's the mark of a quality title.
My main criticism is the lack of NG+ or post-launch DLC. The upgrade system is deep enough that a single playthrough won't get you everything, and without a structured way to continue progressing, that feels like a missed opportunity. Hopefully it's something the developers address down the line.
